Academic success! Cometan graduates from university with a first class degree.

Cometan graduates from the University of Central Lancashire with a first class degree and a university prize awarded by the LSBE.

  • Cometan attended his graduation on Monday 15th July in the centre of Preston alongside his friends and family.

  • The event had been moved from the Guild Hall to the university’s Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre.

  • The young philosopher graduated with full honours in Bachelor of Arts Business and Marketing with a first class degree.

  • Cometan also received a university prize for the Best Project and secured himself a place on the prestigious Dean’s List.

The Lancashire-born philosopher of Astronism and author of the Jesse Millette books who is publicly known as Cometan has just graduated with a first class degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire.

A vibrant member of the Lancashire School of Business and Enterprise community, Cometan, whose real name is Brandon Taylorian, was also awarded a prestigious university prize titled the CMPR Divisional Prize Award for Best Project which was presented to him by one of the leaders of the business school.


Not only this but Cometan, due to him achieving a first class degree was also granted a place on the reputable Dean’s List which was awarded to him by the Executive Dean of the business school, Professor Chris Pyke as part of an exclusive celebratory event taking place later on in the day titled Celebrate Your Success.

The Best Project award was granted to Cometan for his project on how to conduct the marketing of The Long Walk at Hoghton Tower, a stunning historic house just twenty minutes outside of Preston. Hoghton Tower is where Cometan has worked for the previous two years in a marketing role whilst juggling work for his degree as well as his literary ambitions.

About his graduation, Cometan commented “It has been such a wonderful experience today. Three years of hard work has paid off and to get the recognition for the hours and work put into my degree has made today even more special.”


After receiving attention for his lavish 21st birthday party held at Hoghton Tower earlier this month, Cometan, on the subject of his career, said, “I’m now looking forward to putting all of my energy and creativity into my philosophy of Astronism and in publishing the entire Jesse Millette series in order to develop them both into sustainable new business ventures. I am also looking to take my higher education even further to P.h.D level as one of my ambitions is to become a lecturer.”
