noun (also Southern Starlight, Southern Astrosy)
one of two major festivals in the Astronist religion taking place annually during the winter solstice of the southern hemisphere with a starlight festival. Lasting for a total of four days beginning on 20th June and ending on 23rd. During this time, the southern hemisphere is considered to be in a state of astrosy, a natural heightened proximation to the astronomical world. Its counterpart is the festival of Stellara occurring in the northern hemisphere during December.

ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY
Astro-English: from Astronese, the word kintana comes from the Malagasy language, denoting a star; meaning ‘the southern star.’
